• Maligano Jasper is the name given to a recently discovered brecciated Jasper variety that was found in Indonesia around 2011-2012. The name comes from the small village it was found in on the island of Sulawesi.

• This stone has still yet to “take-off” on the market. In fact, many people in the geology and crystal community have never even heard of this new Jasper likely due to the inaccessibility of the deposit, as well as the limited amount that is usually pulled out of the ground.
